I’ve owned several brands of cat trees, but Molly and Friends is by far the best quality and value. The entire tree is about 36″ tall, perfect for looking out the window, or escaping from the family dog! Also, don’t be put off by the blue carpeting; Amazon actually ships a neutral grayish-tan color. The bed on top is quite spacious, with a raised lip for snuggling into. Our cat took to it immediately… scratching the post and perching on top for a nap in front of the window.

This is a well constructed, heavy cat post. I scratched on the post with my fingernails for a minute or so, and that got my cats very interested in the new post. They love to scratch on this post instead of my sofa. The post will not topple over like so may others do, and it is tall enough so they can get a full body stretch as they scratch.

My wife and I were tired of our latest cat constantly scratching our new furniture. This scratching post with bed has helped the situation. It is tall enough to allow the cat to fully stretch out when scratching.
Since putting in this unit our cat will walk over stretch out to scratch the post and then climb up into the bed. We have it near the window so he has a view of the lake. He appears to feel as though he is king of the house and he must be as he got us to purchase this new scratching post / bed for him.

I would definitely recommend this product. My cat loved it as soon as I got it out of the box. It is very strong and durable. He can climb up the scratching post (all 11 pounds) and it does not tip. He loves the bed and it is spacious enough for him to stretch out in and still have room to grow. He is just a year old and I’m sure this post will last this very active kitten for many years to come. This is the best made scratching post / bed I have ever seen. Super high quality!

Very sturdy construction! Won’t tip over –my cat is 12 pounds.
My cat fell in love with this. He likes to be up high, right in the middle of everything.
At other times, he enjoys lying on the bottom level.
As for the scratching post, my cat has not got the hang of this–but he scratches every other part.

My cat started scratching at the foot of my bed so I fixed him — I bought this great scratching post and placed it exactly where he was scratching!! Initially, I’d ordered the scratching post without a tray which was returned by the shipper because of faulty labeling or the box split or some such. Sometimes these things happen for good reasons for when I went to reorder, I spotted this item and ordered it instead. What a good decision. Not only is he now scratching the post rather than the bed, he sits in the tray to watch Animal Planet (I swear) and he even sleeps there sometimes! Highly recommended as a scratching post. If a scratching post is needed then why not add the tray to it by buying this item!

My husband and I have 2 Ragdoll sisters, they are nearing a year old and are already a little over 10 lbs each. They are big cats, and will continue to grow up to about 15 lbs. The standard scratching posts just aren’t big enough, they’d always have to hunch over to scratch on them. And all the posts in pet stores only have small sections of sisal, then areas of carpet or ledges. I wanted a tall scratching post, and the seat on top is an added bonus.
This post is extremely well balanced, comes mailed in a large box already fully assembled, and has held up really well. The girls can run and jump up, sometimes ending up hanging by their claws off one edge of the carpet side, and it has never even come remotely close to falling over. They can lean way off to one side, still it doesn’t even tip at all. Not to mention how much they love being able to stretch up high to scratch, then they have the whole height to scratch their way down the pole.
They were used to the rope sisal of the kitten scratching post we got them, so when we first got this I brought them over and scratched with my fingernails… within the first 2 days they both got the hang of it. It’s been perfect, exactly what I was looking for! Pet stores really should sell this. Worth every penny!

This is very well made, and my cats love it. It comes all in beige, and I’ll bet they would sell more of them if the picture showed it as all beige, rather than with the blue.

I have 10 cats and 5 pieces of Molly and Friends cat furniture. Sophie weighs 18 pounds and is 12 years old. She is the friendliest cat I ever met and LOVES to be petted from stem to stern. She always preferred my lap until I purchased this particular item. She still loves to flop in my lap but she is also very attached to this item and will nudge anyone else who may lay there to move aside.
I have other scratching posts and yet you can never have too many so the sisal rope post is a good idea. This piece fits behind couches, makes great window watching, or can be put near another piece of cat furniture to add interest.
